6 tactics in Sydney when there are too many things to do

Do you only have a few days in Sydney? No worries at all, with my tactics you’ll discover the best things that this vibrant city has to offer. The full Sydney experience in 3 days.

I went to Sydney during the long Easter holiday. When I search on Trip Advisor, there are 855 things to do in Sydney! Just imagine being surrounded by travel destinations, luxurious shops and tourists rushing everywhere. It is a place that will surely quicken your pulse. You want to discover what Sydney has to offer, but you don’t have enough time to do so. The good news is: you can do it in just 3 days without missing anything important. Here I show you how:

HERE ARE MY 6 TACTICS IN SYDNEY WHEN THERE ARE TOO MANY THINGS TO DO

01 | START YOUR TRIP WITH OPERA HOUSE

You can’t prove to your friends you have been Sydney without uploading a selfie with the Opera house. And of course the Harbour Bridge. You could climb it, but it is bloody expensive. I would rather save the money by taking the Sydney Ferris, it could also be once in a lifetime experience. The views are incredible as well!

02 | TAKE A WALK IN THE ROCK

Go to the rocks near the opera house and have pancakes on the rocks, it is sensational. You could also go to the fish markets in Glebe to have fish and chips there. If you’re lucky enough to be there on the weekends, the Rock market is full of interesting stalls, local artisan and music. There are hundreds of booths selling everything from food to jewellery, but I don’t have any tactics if you have too many things want to buy with too little money. LOL

03 | VISIT THE MUSEUM AND THE ART GALLERY

I was fascinated by the museums and art galleries in Martin place and nearby. This is a list of my favourite: Australian Museum, Art Gallery of NSW, Rock Museum, Powerhouse Museum, Australian National Maritime Museum… and more. Some of them are free entry with lots to see and lots to learn. The only problem is: I don’t quite understand contemporary art!

04 | EXPLORE THE DARLING HARBOUR

The darling harbour is one place you definitely do not want to miss when you are visiting Sydney. There are Madame Tussauds wax museum, aquarium and brilliant fireworks on Saturday night. The waterfront atmosphere is very enjoyable. IMAX here is the biggest screen in the world, but here are my tips: make sure you choose a good movie as well which is equally important. I watched the Top Gun by Tom Cruise, which I believe it is an excellent movie in 1986, but not a good idea to watch it 3D in 2013. Must try: Lindt chocolate cafe, Hurricane.

05 | RELAX AT THE BONDI BEACH

You should go to famous beaches: Bondi, Manly, Coogee… really nice, clean, soft sand beaches! So many people here, but it means many sexy bikinis… Don’t be distracted!

06 | THE BEST ICE CREAM IN THE WORLD

Do you love ice cream? Definitely worth the trip is the journey to Newtown. It’s one of the few places in the world where you can have an awesome gelato. At the Cow and the Moon, you can try some interesting flavours too. There was a bit of a line and I was struggling to find a seat… but that just shows the quality of the gelato. You will be a fan of this place for sure!

…AND NOW, I WISH I HAD MORE TIME

There are so much more to see but these are the things you have to do and the places you have to be. As you can see nothing is impossible. Get up early and don’t waste your time, grab a Google map and enjoy yourself in a real experience of Sydney. Have fun!
